It seems somehow fitting to begin this on the day many people claim shall be the last peaceful day on earth. Know this: we shall survive, our lives will carry on and work will keep piling up - unfortunately in relation to that last part.
I guess I ought to get on with it and write in the introduction: Hi, I'm Colette, and although I have plenty of middle names to go by, when it comes to Theater I've been dubbed Perky. Admittedly, it's a suitable representation of my character - on a good day at the very least :)
So.. I'm the eldest of five, have dual citizenship in both the USA (love Minnesota) and France, enjoy writing, have a huge extended family, love horses, singing, acting, reading, being crazy and generally life itself. I have dark purple hair (a recent addition), and am a very weather affected person. Bored already?
Obviously, there's much more to me than stated above, but I should probably add that I'm currently residing in Bangalore (in India - people never look at maps anymore these days..), and am an IB1 student who for reasons that I have begun to question am entrenched in the Theater HL course.
And will bore anyone reading by blabbing about things related to the subject (you have been forewarned!)
Let's see.. ah yes - I'm supposed to share and expand on my dream character or theater. Hmm. There are many different types and aspects of the theater world that draw me in and intrigue me, and many others that lay hidden waiting to be stumbled upon and discovered. But I think my favorite part would have to be Musicals, the type of shows you'd see on Broadway and such. I love to sing (although I'm the only one in my house able to put up with me when I do.. some people may take that as a sign, but I've been known to be conveniently oblivious to the world around me at times), and have performed in several school performances while in Middle School which were, if I'm honest, probably the highlight of each year. I learned it's fun to participate, no matter what size role you get - every part is important and a heck of a lot of fun :)
But I digress. Umm.. right. Musicals. I lived in Paris for a several years, so the train ride across the channel to get to England is both short and simple to take. Whenever we'd go to London, we'd go see a show, and I've been fortunate enough to also have seen several Broadway productions in NYC. I'd find myself watching entranced, leaning forward on the edge of my seat or folding my knees underneath me to get a better view of the characters controlling the scene. Often I'd try to imagine placing myself in their roles, playing the story out in front of everyone, stepping into someone else's shoes and letting your imagination (and countless hours of practice) loose. Yep, made for nice daydreams in History class.
Anyways, favorite character would probably be Elphaba if I'm sticking to my theme. The green which in Wicked? Duno if I spelt that right, but hopefully the reference is clear enough. Yep, always loved that show, though the book is a lot more cynical than the rather happy go lucky performance...
Anywho (and yes, I know that's not really a word but just deal with it), this is my url:

Pretty obvious what it entails, but I'll reiterate in case you haven't followed even the gist of this long blurb - I'm not giving up yet!
